She is licensed by the state of Illinois with a full license of a physician and surgeon. Following medical school, she completed Family Practice Residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. Since then she had practiced Family Medicine with emphasis on nutrition, breastfeeding, health, and structural medicine.
Dr. Chapman follows the Tenants of Osteopathic Medicine defined by American Osteopathic Association: 1. The body is a unit; the person is a unit of body, mind, and spirit. 2. The body is capable of self-regulation, self-healing, and health maintenance. 3. Structure and function are reciprocally interrelated. 4. Rational treatment is based upon an understanding of the basic principles of body unity, self-regulation, and the interrelationship of structure and function.
Dr. Chapman share her vision of treatment: “My vision in medicine is really to help people understand their condition and find health in their bodies. It is incredible to me how well a body can heal given the proper nourishment and structure. Too many people have musculoskeletal dysfunctions and nutritional deficiencies that they do not have to live with. I strive to learn as much as is available to help my patients have vibrant health medication and symptom free.” Dr. Chapman’s favorite saying is “Health begins in the kitchen,” which highlights her preference of healthy lifestyle and simple organic options as a first course of any treatment. Dr. Chapman helps people to consider these natural alternatives, and as a result, many of her patients recover as well as reduce or gradually discontinue their usage of prescribed medications.
